I decided to start this blog to talk about all things sex. I have a teenage daughter just hitting all the fun of puberty and lately there has been a number of moments where I was torn between giggling my fool head off and wondering WTF I got myself into. However, that's just one of the reasons for this blog... I also believe that while we see sex everywhere we look...on TV... Movies....Music... I often wonder do we truly even understand it. I mean really when was the last time you women got naked and took a good look at all your parts and paid attention to them? What about you men, when was the last time you took notice of your body?
We live in a world filled with stereotypes and bullshit about sex... we teach our children from birth about it....we teach them sex is shameful....that it's dirty....that it's what you talk about in the dark when no one can really see how red your face is... Now before you get all bent I am fully aware that there are very healthy people in this world with very healthy perspectives and understandings of sex, sexuality and human relationships. Yes I said the R word because whether it's a one night fling ...Friends With Benefits .... any human interaction creates a relationship....whether it's a blip along the way or something more...it's still there.
We see what advertisers and hollywood all want you to accept as the standard for being sexy, I think it is a crock....I mean sure they have good points and such but reality is there is nothing more sensual and erotic than a person who knows themselves and knows that being sexy is about owning your sexuality and accepting yourself...
